Listen, this website is more than just the weekly blog posts; it’s more than just the comments shared by everyone; it’s more than just a natural health and lifestyle community that helps everyone involved achieve their goals and continually expand their knowledge and experience in living the lifestyle they really want to live.

It’s more than that because it changes peoples’ lives in ways they never would’ve believed – having more energy to play with children and grandchildren, performing better at work, re-igniting the spark of passion and playfulness in relationships, feeling better about themselves, and enjoying the body they always knew they deserved in the first place. That’s what this is really all about.

My story starts with childhood, as does yours. What kind of diet did you grow up eating? What did your parents and siblings eat? How about your extended family? Friends at school? I grew up eating the standard American diet, filled with candy, snacks, sugar, fats, oils and basically anything that I wanted to eat (hey, everyone around me was doing the same thing!). Things didn’t change much until high school, when I discovered the power of working out and living at the gym.

Even though I was hitting the gym after school or later at night and getting in KILLER workouts, I still wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I started reading up on health and fitness, and eventually changed my diet toward what might be considered the “healthy” American diet. This meant things like actually paying attention to when you eat and spacing out small-medium meals throughout the day without snacking, having turkey on wheat and drinking water. The kind of diet that the average guy walking down the street would look at and say, “Oh, he’s eating healthy”. But if health ends there for you, you’re missing out on so much of the life you could be living.

As much as I’d love to say I got into eating healthier for some incredible reason, I really just saw it as the road to building a better body. I had no idea what I was actually getting into. Fast forward a few years of hitting the gym and getting decent (”just enough”) results: one summer, I watch a DVD called “Food Matters” and the entire foundation of my life shifted…permanently.

I suddenly saw all of the connections, how what we eat determines not only how our bodies look, but how we feel everyday (and every meal), how likely we are to get disease, how long we live, how happy we are and how much of our potential we’re truly able to reach. I started researching natural health, raw foods, fruits and vegetables, alternative healing and everything else you could think of…not casually, but to the tune of sometimes 12 hours a day – even in college. I would go to class and do what needed to be done, then jet back to the dorm room and study hours of nutrition, healing and lifestyle (even though none of my classes featured anything remotely related!).

What happened was that I started to implement the discoveries I made along the way. I started supercharging my water and hydration with techniques that no one around me had ever heard of – in fact, few people have heard of any of these techniques. I got to enjoy the benefits of increased energy, mental clarity and endurance. I would work out 6 days a week with my buddies at the gym and always be up for more, ready to play frisbee or take a run at a moment’s notice. It was all good!

What really happened more than the surface changes (which were excellent, as my skin permanently cleared up and improved dramatically) were the changes in lifestyle. Instead of being tired and irritable, I was always in a good mood (and still am!). Having the energy to do all the things you’d love to do during the day changes everything. Being immune to the “little things” like things not going your way, unfavorable surprises and jokes that can be taken the wrong way also changes the dynamics of all of your relationships. You don’t have to “take it all out” on those you love when things don’t bother you in the first place! I’m sure you can recall a time in your life where you felt amazing and full of energy, and nothing seemed to be able to bother you – or even “touch you” in the slightest! That’s what we’re aiming for here.
